A thief was sent to prison for six weeks after stealing items from the gift shop at Coventry Transport Museum. Lisa Donnelly, of no fixed address, pinched a number of homeware items worth £115 from the shelves of the gift shop on December 13. She appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court two days later when she admitted the theft and the 30-year-old was sentenced to six weeks behind bars due to her previous record. Donnelly was also ordered to pay £115 compensation. of Gayer Street, Bell Green, admitted stealing items worth £401 from Asda. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Martin Harper, 35, of Yew Close, Stoke Aldermoor, admitted possessing ammunition (15 bullets) without holding a firearm certificate and stealing five gold rings. He was fined £20, handed a community order including a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £100 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge. Aaron O’Loughlin, 25, of Harnall Lane West, Foleshill, admitted handling stolen goods (a child’s go-kart) worth £400. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £400 compensation. Nicola Connolly, 35, of Johnson Road, Bell Green, admitted stealing clothing worth £475 from River Island. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £475 compensation. Siobhan Walker, 33, of Northumberland Road, Spon End, was found guilty of two counts of handling stolen goods (sat nav worth £90 and Blackberry mobile phone worth £60), two counts of fraud by false representation and failing to answer bail. She was sent to prison for 10 weeks and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
