Huge queues have formed outside Leicester’s KFC store only days after it reopened at the weekend. The store, located in Narborough Road, reopened on Saturday, May 2 which was one of 100 stores reopening up and down the country. And it seems that KFC madness has taken over some chicken lovers after massive queues have started to form outside the restaurant. A large line of cars have been seen queuing down Fullhurst Avenue to the Narborough Road junction at approximately 7pm yesterday (Tuesday, May 5) According to one witness, drivers have been heard sounding their horns while queuing. One customer told LeicestershireLive: “People will think we’re stupid but I’ve been looking forward to this for weeks. The fast food chain said it was introducing “strict measures” to ensure it could open stores which includes delivery and drive-thru. A spokesperson for KFC previously said: “We’re reopening our restaurants in a responsible way, with stringent processes and hygiene measures in place. We’ll be serving a limited menu to help the smaller kitchen teams maintain social distancing. “Opening these restaurants will mean that we can continue donating food to NHS and key workers – we’ll be delivering 10,000 meals a week from these restaurants in partnership with Deliveroo. “We know it’s tempting, but please, please don’t all rush at once! Delivery remains the best way to get your fried chicken fix – we just want to offer a little more choice to those who are already on the road for essential journeys or on their way home from difficult shifts”. from https://taxi.nearme.host/massive-queues-outside-leicester-kfc-after-restaurant-reopens-leicestershire-live/
